Hi I'm Melanie

I live in a beautiful part of the United States. I am raising a family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was raised by my LDS parents and learned the gospel of Jesus Christ from my infancy. I was taught to trust God and be aware of the guidance of the Holy Ghost. I worked hard at school and attended two years of college. I enjoyed giving service, connecting with elderly people in my life, and searching family histories. I met my future husband, at school and married. I worked for several years as an office manager and was blessed to have a child and stay home to be a mother. Now fourteen years of marriage later, I am raising a family of five children. My mother stayed home with my sister and I and later two brothers. I enjoy music, gardening, reading, excersize, and learning.

Why I am a Mormon

The faith of my parents was taught to me and demonstrated daily in my home. I embraced the teachings of Jesus as I read the scriptures, prayed, attended church, felt love from my parents, sister, and teachers. I choose to follow the same faith and religion as my parents because I was able to find out for myself that it was true. Over the years, I still find peace in the knowledge that God is my Heavenly Father and I am his spirit daughter. Jesus Christ is my elder brother who died for me, so that I can return to live with Heavenly Father some day. God has not left me alone to find my way back. I can receive daily guidance for all my needs, my spouse's needs, and my children's needs.

How I live my faith

I live my faith my daily saying prayers to God myself and with my family. I also read the scriptures myself and with my family. I visit with other women (sisters) in our ward to discuss what is happening in their life and if they need help in anyway. I can cook a meal for their family if they've recently had surgery or watch their children when they have an appointment. I also teach Jesus' ways and the gospel to a class of 10-12 children age 7 and 8. I also spend time researching my family lines and attending the temple to make sure these loved onces get the opportunity to accept the gospel of Jesus Christ.
