Hi I'm Jennifer

I'm a mother, engineer, and a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of 5 and a civil engineer. I love being a mother. That is my favorite job. I love to laugh, hang around my husband and watch my kids play. The highlight of my day is to come home and hear my kids yell "Mom!" as they give me a hug. In the evenings, I enjoy spending time with my family around the dinner table, going over homework and tucking my kids in bed. I work full time for an indian community managing the design and construction of roadway projects. My kids think it is funny I have a job that has been historically held by men and that I wear steel toed boots and a hard hat at work. I didn't really plan on being an engineer. But I wanted a degree, just in case. Now I'm glad that I have one in a good field.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints when I was little. I am so glad to know that I have a Father in Heaven that knows me and loves me. I know Jesus Christ is the Savior and Redeemer of mankind. I see my prayers answered everyday and feel so happy with the life I have. I know this happiness has come from learning the teachings of Christ and trying to follow them. My religion brings me peace and joy which has helped me know for myself that it is right.

How I live my faith

My example is Jesus Christ. I'm far from perfect but I try to live a good life, work hard, and help others. I try to teach my children what is right. At church, I teach the women the words of modern prophets and ways we can be more like Christ. My faith is a huge part of who I am and hope to become.
