Hi I'm Michelle

I have 4 children and I am a special education teacher. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a single mother of four wonderful children. One is away at school. I have a Master's degree in special education. I teach at an elementary school and love working with children. I love to read, go on walks, swim, do scrapbooking (when I have time), trying to paint and be creative. I also love to be with friends and family. I grew up all over the world and love to see different places and learn about their history. I have great parents and brothers and sisters. They are all wonderful. I served a mission in Peru, and loved the people there. I also love to see people who truly love the Savior and want to do their best to do what is right. I am grateful for many good examples in this world past and present that show me that this world is good.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member on the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints my whole life. I am grateful for parents that had taught me the truth so that when the day came that I needed to hold on to something, I knew what was good and true. I have had obsticles in my life, but I am so grateful for all the lessons that I have learned along the way. I know that this is the church of Jesus Christ. I have felt this truth in my heart many times. As I read the scriptures, I know that they are from God. I know that the Book of Mormon is scripture which helps me to come closer to the Savior. I don't know what I would do without the scriptures in my life, they have been an answer to prayers many times. I know that Heavenly Father hears and answers my prayers, and I know He knows what is best for me. When I struggle to feel peace in my heart, prayer and the scriptures have been the only way to feel that peace. I am grateful for prophets that were able to teach the truth long ago, which was written in the scriptures. I am also grateful for a prophet on the earth now and know that the Lord wants us to be guided now like He guided the people in the scriptures. I feel very blessed to have this guidance now through the scriptures and through a prophet on the earth today. I am grateful that the Lord hears and answers my prayers. I know that I have found a way to be able to return and live with my Havenly Father and the Savior again. I know that the Savior lives and loves me. He loves all of us, and has provided a way back to Him.

How I live my faith

I work with the children in my ward. I love to be with the children, they bring the spirit into the room and fill my heart with peace. Every week, they seem to find a way into my heart that fills me with joy. I also love to visit with the women in my ward. They are strong and teach me so many things. It seems like whenever I am able to help someone, they end up helping me more just by being there. I feel strengthened by the things that I am able to do. My son goes to cub scouts, and I love to see the boys progress through that program. I feel like I spend a lot of time driving my children to their activites! I love to be busy, but I also like some time at home with my children. It seems like children are able to teach us unconditional love.
