Hi I'm Tina

I'm a wife, a stay at home mom, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married to my wonderful husband for 15 years and together we have 3 beautiful children that are 8, 10, & 12. I grew up in a family of 11 and was the second oldest, so I had alot of practice taking care of children. Becoming a mom was always one of my ultimate goals. I love being a mom and it is the most important job I have ever had. I had the privilege to stay at home with my children until they were all in school, then I went back to work as a Teacher's Aide. I worked for two years and then made the decision to stay at home again, so I would be more available to my family. It has been a difficult choice, financially, but I feel our family has been extremely blessed by the choice. Other than being a mom, I enjoy dancing, decorating, traveling, & spending time with family. My near future plans involve going back to school to get my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the LDS church. My parents were wonderful examples of faithful members with strong testimonies. I depended on their testimonies until I was in college & we lost my father to cancer. I then had to decide what I truly believed. I had to gain a testimony of my own. Did I believe all I had been taught about eternal families and Heavenly Father's Plan of Happiness? This is when I truly began to gain a testimony of the truthfulness of the church I had been brought up in. It did not happen all at once & my testimony continues to grow as I try to live by the teachings of the gospel and turn to my Father in Heaven and Savior, Jesus Christ, each day for guidance. I know this church & it's teachings are true! I have had so many experiences in my life, good and bad, where I have been able to draw upon the teachings of the church to find comfort and guidance. I am grateful for the privilege I have to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and for the peace and happiness it affords my life each and every day.

How I live my faith

I serve in my ward as a leader over the girls, ages 12 to 13. I am learning to handle the energy of that age group and I truly appreciate their eagerness to learn and desire to do what is right. Thru the guidance of the spirit, I try to plan weekly lessons and activities that will help these young women to develop the wonderful potential each them has as Daughters of God.
