Hi I'm Tim

I'm a Mormon. I grew up south of Salt Lake City, UT but now live in AZ with my wife and children.

About Me

I enjoy sports, playing, watching in person, and on television. I enjoy interaction with people, particularly through work, in the Banking business, as well as in Church. I grew up with 2 brothers and one sister. I am presently married and have 3 young children!

Why I am a Mormon

Honestly while really young I thought everyone was a "member of the Church." Clearly very naive, it was in the 4th grade when a young man moved in across the street and he wasn't "a member" that I learned that we're not all the same. I wasn't too old (middle teens) that I began to notice the difference between people that did "follow the Church" and those that did not. To me the lives of the "followers" seemed to be more happy and they seemed to have it together more than those who didn't. While 18, almost 19 after high school graduation my friend told me that he had received his mission call and I was thinking....."WHAT?" The two of us only being a month apart in age I hit the panick mode, I didn't even know what needed to be complete prior to going, but I realized that I needed to head down the preperation road very quickly. I was called to serve in the California San Diego Mission. For years prior to my mission I had felt the spirit many times, and so often it was in Fast & Testimony Meeting, meaning that when people shared their testimony or bore witness of the Church and our Savior Jesus Christ and how it related in their lives I was touched in my heart. While on my mission this same feeling happened many times, although often times it was while I or my companion was sharing our Testimony. Our Father in Heaven loves us so much that he sent His Son Jesus Christ who suffered in Gethsemene so we can be redeemed from our sins. So His suffering was not in vain the Lord organized His Church and called Prophets & Apostles to Administer the affairs of the Lords Church on Earth, ultimately so all may partake of the blessings of the Pristhood provided to us and through us by the Lord. As we heed the Lord through the Scriptures, The Book of Mormon, The Bible, The Doctrine & Covenants, The Pearl of Great Price, and the Lords modern day Prophet we can have peace in this life, and return to live with our Father in Heaven, and Jesus Christ again.

How I live my faith

Within me is a desire to do what is "right." Though not always easy to "do" I feel a duty to try. Not only am I responsible to myself, but to my wife and children also. I strive to live my faith by doing what I know to be right, and trying to live what I've found to be true. A day is a summation of decisions, some are harder than others, and some are a result of temptation. Making "good" decisions based on the commandments set forth in the scriptures and by modern day prophets are what I try to do. i do believe that if you don't "know" you are less likely to be accountible to God, but once you really know the difference between right and wrong it is so important to continually strive to choose the right. I must add that it is so much easier to make "good" decisions when you're surrounded by people that are trying to do the same, which is part of reason behind attending Church on a weekly basis. Of course partaking of the Sacrament is the most important part of Church each Sunday.
