Hi I'm Jarad

I'm a high school math teacher and a runner with four kids. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My wife and I have four kids. So with summers off, we love to go on road trips visiting National parks. We've hiked, fished, camped, told stories, and made memories across most of western America.

Why I am a Mormon

The Mormon faith speaks to me because of the fruit it bears. It teaches of a loving Father, who sent His Son to atone for my sins. It teaches to love and serve our fellow man. It teaches faith and forgiveness. It teaches about temples, which were so important in biblical times and still today are places of worship. I'm Mormon because Jesus Christ is my Savior and He has re-established His church here on earth with prophets and apostles who provide leadership and direction specific to our day.

How I live my faith

Through kindness and service.

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

Jarad
For me, my faith in Christ increases when I'm a doer of the word and not a hearer only. So I try to be kind, offer assistance when I can, and try not to judge others. Show more Show less

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

Jarad
To me, the beauty of nature is a testament to God. Also as a father, the miracle of birth is a testament as well. Even more so, I think it's just the peaceful feelings I get when I contemplate the concept of God or the joy I feel when I help someone. Show more Show less

What is being a Mormon like?

Jarad
Well, let's see - I try to pray, study the scriptures, attend and contribute at church, spend time teaching and laughing with my family. Show more Show less

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Jarad
The answer is no. We try to help where help is needed. Show more Show less
