Hi I'm Jake

I'm a husband, I'm a father, I'm a businessman and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father of two wonderful boys who are six and three at this time. I run a regional office for Aflac while attending the American College where I am studying to receive my CLF designation. I love to play with my kids and spend time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I wasn't always a Mormon. I always had great friends but there was one in particular that stood out, Brad. One year in High School there was a terrible accident and I had a few friend die in the crash. I was 16 at the time and my family really never taught about religion, only to do good to others. I desperately felt the need for religion in my life. I attended many organizations in my home town. One day I decided to call my friend Brad and ask if I could go to church with him. I immediately felt the Spirit as I entered into the church. I was baptized on Feb 21, 1997. Brad's family opened their doors and their hearts. They are now family to me. It was great because I quickly gained six brothers. I am a Mormon because I know that the Church of Jesus Christ is true. I love to read the Book of Mormon. I feel that living by the teachings of the gospel it improves my family life, personal life and blesses me in my business.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to be better each day, in being honest with those around me and looking for opportunities to serve others. I love to teach my boys the importance of being gentlemen and serving others. I work with the men of my ward to teach them to be better husbands and fathers. In reality the chance to teach helps me to improve in these areas also. I love to be a home teacher, this is where we visit families in our ward to make sure they are doing okay. It helps me serve.
