Hi I'm Lindsey

I grew up in California loving anything water or mountain related. I am a nurse and an avid sports fan. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I think I am the luckiest girl in the world. I grew up in California with a wonderful family. Growing up squished between to brothers made me a competitive, sport loving girl. To balance me out, my awesome little sister came around to help me enjoy a good classic girlie movie and to enjoy spending time in the kitchen. Nothing makes me happier that spending time with my family, eating a big meal together, laughing until our tummies hurt, and finishing the night with a friendly game of cards and a bowl of ice cream. I moved to the midwest a few years ago to become a nurse. Since graduating, I have loved taking care of the children in our community. I stayed in Nebraska and met my wonderful husband; best decision I ever made. We love playing basketball together, watching football, and trying to beat each other at Yahtzee. I spend my spare time running and watching cooking shows. I have love collecting new recipes and hope to someday be a wonderful cook. In short, I am a sport-loving, pediatric nurse, domestic goddess wanna-be, and I'm a Mormon!

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because our church is the only place on the planet that has and practices the fullness of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Both of my parents are Mormon so I was raised in the church, but now that I have been on my own for 10 years, I still choose to be Mormon because I know the teachings of our church are true. It is because I am Mormon that I know my Savior and know that He atoned for my sins. It is because I am Mormon that I am blessed to know the Savior's teachings and His standards so I have some direction in this crazy world. It is because I am Mormon that I have an eternal family and can be with them for all eternity. We recognize God as our Father and the ultimate source of love. We recognize Jesus as our Savior and as the only one by which we can return to our Father in heaven. We know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God and restored the priesthood to the earth. We know that the Book of Mormon is true. We have a living prophet on the earth today that guides our church. No other church can claim *all* of these truths. That's why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by working with the youth in our community. I volunteer to work with the youth of our church. We meet regularly to learn about Jesus Christ, do service, and develop talents. It is so fun to see the children grow, learn new skills, and become active youth and good examples in our community. It makes me so happy to see them use skills that we teach them to serve others!
