Hi I'm Kara

I write. I live in the desert, but I like the rain. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student majoring in English Literature. College has been good to me because I love to read and I love to write. My goal is to publish a book, hopefully sooner rather than later. I am a new wife. I am not very good at cooking or cleaning or taking care of babies, but I love my husband and cannot wait to create a life with him.

Why I am a Mormon

I came to realize my own testimony of this church when I was 16-years-old. At that age I understood the great example and testimony of my parents would only get me so far. I knelt down and prayed to the Lord that I would know this was His church. It did not take me very long to realize that I already knew the church was true, that I already possessed a testimony, thanks to the guidance of my parents, family, and church leaders. My prayer was answered in a very real way, and that is something I carry with my even today. I continue to follow the gospel because it brings me happiness and has shown me the way to create an eternal family.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending church every Sunday with my friends and neighbors. I am currently called to help plan activities for the women in my church, which is great because I am new in the area and it helps me meet a lot of new people. The women I serve are wonderful people striving to live to gospel everyday, just like me, and it is nice to have a place to make friends and serve others at the same time.
