Hi I'm John

I love the outdoors, and family time is the best time. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

About Me

I work hard at succeeding at work and at school. As a college student I study physics, but enjoy other topics such as geography and international relations. I love to play the piano. I am trying to understand what talents I have that the Lord wants me to enlarge. But most of all, I am an imperfect person who is still learning about life and trying to improve.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up a in the Church, but instead of relying on my parents testimony I gained one for myself. Through diligent study of the scriptures and a desire to live a Christ-like life I have gradually increased in my understanding of and devotion to the gospel. I know that Jesus of Nazareth is my Savior, the Son of the living God. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet. Thomas S. Monson is the Lord's prophet today. It just seems so simple and wonderful to me; plain and pure. It is because I know these things to be true and because I feel and see the Lord's loving hand in my life that I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

How I live my faith

Everyday I try to "do what Jesus would do." Of course, I often come up short. But, for me the most important part of living my faith is to have a constant desire to improve. One of the ways I do that is by serving others. As followers of Jesus Christ our religion is one of service. When asked to serve in the Church I try to do so to the best of my ability.
