Hi I'm Justin

I'm a Mormon. I grew up all over the west coast, married my best friend, and am preparing to go to medical school.

About Me

I am currently a student at ASU preparing to go to medical school. Since entrance into medical school is so very competitive, most of my time is spent studying, working in a research lab, and studying. Oh, and did I mention that I spend a lot of time studying? I also like to play racquetball, mountain bike, and go on dates with my cute wife. I speak fluent Spanish, and I love Mexican food.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because Jesus Christ directs the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day saints (aka "mormon" church). It took me a long time to realize that, but I know that it is a true statement. Because I love Jesus Christ, I want to be a member of the Church the He is the head of. Many in my family are not members of the church, and for a while before I served as a full time missionary I received information about the church that wasn't very positive. As I felt good at church, and loved the people I knew at church, it was hard for me to hear people I loved criticize my faith. For a while I was confused, and the materials that I read seemed so polarized that at last I decided that the only real way to determine whether or not this was Jesus Christs church was to pray. I did so, and guess what? I didn't get an answer. But I stuck with it, and after several months, I got a warm feeling inside confirming my beliefs. It made me feel happy and loved. I have had many experiences since then that have confirmed that Jesus himself directs this church. I have felt of His love for me in His temples, I have felt Him comfort me during the most trying times of my life. I love Him, so I try to keep His commandments. I'm a Mormon because in this church I feel like I can feel of His love for me even when I make mistakes, while knowing clearly how to keep His commandments. I feel like my relationship with the Lord makes me want to be my very best, while knowing that I can make mistakes an learn and be forgiven.

How I live my faith

I work with 11 year old scouts, and teach them fun skills like how to build a campfire, light a Coleman stove, fuse a rope, and set up a tent. I also visit people in the community that are in need, and work with Church leaders to make sure they have enough food to eat, and that they can live comfortably.
