Hi I'm Courtney

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a recent college graduate with my Bachelor's Degree in Sociology. My husband and I have recently moved a state away from our families, and are excited about the new adventures we will have on our own. I enjoy playing the piano, volleyball, and fixing up old furniture. I am passionate about humanitarian efforts throughout the world, and have been fortunate enough to be a part of many wonderful organizations aimed at such efforts.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have a personal testimony of the Book of Mormon and the Prophets that lead and guide our Church on the earth. Growing up in the Church, I learned to build my personal testimony on the beliefs and guidance of my parents. Having moved on to start my own life with my husband, I have relied on my testimony time and time again as challenges come my way. So many blessings have come in to my life as a direct result of the gospel. I know that Heavenly Father loves and cares for me, and I know that His Hand is in all things. I love that I have the opportunity to experience all that this life has to offer. Sorrow, joy, grief, and happiness are all part of the learning experience, and I am constantly comforted by the fact that I know Heavenly Father knows my heart, and will help me learn through all things.

How I live my faith

Each Sunday, I attend Church meetings for about three hours. I spend this time meditating, singing, listening to various speakers, and teaching children. Sunday is a refreshing day for me. I do my best to spend personal time each week studying the scriptures. I pray each night, confident that my Father in Heaven hears my prayers.
