Hi I'm Mary

I am a wife and mother and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a stay at home Mom of four awesome kids and one silly puppy. I have been married to my best friend for 10 wonderful years and treasure each day I get to share with him. I love to read. Whenever I have a moment to spare I visit new and exciting places in books.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in Utah, with a family firm in their faith of Jesus Christ.I was lucky to learn at a very young age the teachings of Jesus Christ and his prophets. I loved singing songs of faith and reading scriptures with my family and at church. It was in small steps as a young child that my knowledge of the gospel grew. There was never a time that I can remember not knowing that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was the true church of Christ. When I was 14 my parents took our family on a family vacation to visit most of the church Histroy sites. We visited upstate New York and saw where the Prophet Joseph Smith lived and the grove of trees near his home where he prayed to know which church to join. It was there in that grove when my dad allowed me a half hour to sit under a tree all by myself that I prayed to know for sure, for myself, if the Church was true. I have never felt such a wondervul filling as I did there in those trees. It was there that my testimony was strengtened enough to stand on its own. I knew then and still do today that this is the true Church of Christ. That Joseph Smith was a prophet of God and that he was lead by God's hand to establish Christ's church on the Earth again. I know that the Book of Mormon is a companion to the Bible and that through living by the principles found in both books we can return to live with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ again. My testimony of these truths is why I am a mormon.

How I live my faith

I am lucky enough to teach the children in our church group. I am in charge of the children between the ages of 18 months to 12 years of age. It is my resposiblity to make sure the children are taught the gospel. We do this by singing faith promoting songs and by giving short lessons. I love to see the children learn and grow each week as they learn of Christ.
