Hi I'm Ryan Moats

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I live in Colorado with my awesome wife and three great kids. I am the Marketing Manager for a business incubator group that helps entrepreneurs turn their ideas into products that can be sold all across the world. I love playing sports, especially basketball and I still get out and play several times a week even though my newly acquired 30 year body doesn't allow me to do what I used to. I am proud not to be a graduate of BYU instead earning my degree in Marketing from Johnson and Wales University where I also had a chance to play basketball and be part of the first team from JWU to earn a trip to the National Championship Tournament. My greatest joy in life is spending time with my family and watching my kids grow.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was born and raised a member of the mormon church, I believe everyone has a conversion story - that point in life when they decide for themselves which direction they will follow. I'm a Mormon today because of the truth of God's gospel and because through the Holy Ghost, God has helped me understand what truth is. When I was at a point in my life when I needed to know which path to follow, I simply asked Our Heavenly Father which path was correct and which should I follow that would lead me closer to Him. After a sincere, heart felt prayer, the Holy Ghost touched me in an undeniable manner telling me that the path I was following through The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was God's true path. The Mormon church is founded upon true principles created by Our Heavenly Father and revealed to us through prophets both past and present. These true principles teach me who I must become to one day be ready to be reunited to the presence of Our Heavenly Father. I know I have many faults and mis the mark in so many areas of my life but I am forever grateful for the atonement of Jesus Christ that I may overcome these faults, learn, and continuously grow. By following the teachings of Jesus Christ and His gospel truths, I know that I will be able to spend eternity with my family and to me that is the greatest truth of all.

How I live my faith

Serving others is a big part of the Mormon faith and I try to do my best to fulfill that responsibility on a daily basis. I try to set an example of clean living and high moral standards more by my actions instead of my words. Being a good husband and father to my wife and children is most important to me. I believe that the most important work I could ever do is within the walls of my own home. I hope I can instill the kind of character in my children that my parents instilled in me. My faith is the anchor to all the aspects of my life. I often wonder where my life would be if I didn't have my faith in God and his plan for us.
