Hi I'm Deanna

I grew up in California, I am a stay at home mother to my wonderful children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a stay at home mom. I love water sports, including water polo, swimming, wakeboarding, and waterskiing. I love digital scrapbooking and love to record my families memories on my digital scrapbook pages. I also love sewing, crochet, and cross stitching. I love making things for my family and friends. I love music and singing. I have made an effort to keep music as a large part of my life. I enjoy reading books, especially historical fiction, mysteries, sci-fi and fantasy.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. My Grandparents are very devout evangelical Christians, and wonderful people who for many years tried to make sure I was taught their beliefs also. The older I get, and the more I see of other churches and other religions, the more convinced I am that I belong to the church that has the fullness of the truth. Having sat through other religious services with my grandparents, I have not felt the same spirit and sense of correctness that I feel in this church. My testimony that this church is true has come because I know it in my head, and I feel it in my heart.

How I live my faith

I love the fellowship I feel in this church. With every new place we have lived, I have found people waiting to welcome us, friends waiting to be made. With my love of music, I have loved directing the choir and trying my best to share what talents the Lord has given me. I also try to develop and share those talents as I sing with the Colorado Mormon Chorale. I love the opportunities for service that this church provides. I love being able to help a friend in need with a ride, or a meal. I love the friendships that my kids have made. I am grateful that they have good influences around them in addition to their parents. For me the biggest part of living my faith comes in how I teach and raise my children. I am not a perfect parent, but as I strive to follow the council of the prophets, I find that my home is a more peaceful and loving place to be.
