Hi I'm heidi

I'm a wife and a mama. I love to laugh. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love, love, love spending time with my husband whenever I can. I absolutely love being a wife and a mama. From a young age I knew I wanted a big family and thankfully I found my husband - who wanted a big family too! Life is busy, but we do our best to find the shining happy moments in the midst of all the chaos! I own a vinyl company and create vinyl wall/car art and I also screenprint. I enjoy being creative and working with all sorts of people to personalize their spaces and clothing.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I know the gospel is true. I started attending mutual with friends when I was about 15 and knew instantly that something was different. It was different from any other place or church activity I had been to. The day I got baptized 3 years later was the first time I had ever been inside of a church building (any church) with my parents. It was intimidating for all of us, and full of joy also. I think it's shocked my parents and family members that I am still committed to living the life I do. But that is just it, I live this way because if I didn't, I'd be denying it's truthfulness. Living the gospel brings a joy into mine and my family's life that is not attainable any other way. Yes, sometimes it's busy. Yes, sometimes it's not easy. However, the peace in knowing who I am, Where I came from, & where I'm going is more special to me than just not trying. I've read the scriptures, I've prayed to know for myself the truthfulness of the scriptures, the prophet, the lessons - all of it. I know it's true. I know because Heavenly Father answered my prayers through the Holy Ghost. This basic but profound knowledge helps me face any trial I come up against.

How I live my faith

I live by teaching and learning. At home we read scriptures and pray. I am the same person at home that I am at church. I am the same person on Tuesday that I am on Sunday. Being a church member for me, is a way of life, not just a part of my life. I serve in the Young Women's Presidency of our ward. Young Women are the girls that are 12 to 18 years old. I'm over the beehives which are the 12 and 13 year old girls. I enjoy every second of their vibrant excitement for life. I've learned and grown individually and it has been truly amazing to watch the young women grow, mature, gain personal testimonies and be examples.

Why is it important for us to take care of our bodies? Why are our bodies called temples of God in the Bible?

heidi
We came to earth to be tested and tried, however we also came to gain a body. We had to have a body in order to be like our Heavenly Father. Our bodies are also called a "temple" in the scriptures because they are the "house" for our spirits. It is important to take care of our bodies because they house our eternal spirits. That might be hard to grasp, because sometimes that is a little 'deep' for me. However, I know that when I eat too much or eat too little, for example, it affects my attitude and my ability to control my actions. It affects my spirit when I don't care for my physical body. Are Mormons Christians?

heidi
Absolutely. We believe Christ is God's son. We believe he is the bridge that connects us to Heavenly Father. The only way to live with God again is through the power of Christ. He atoned for our sins and by that great sacrifice are we able to find joy, endure trials, repent and live again in God's presence. Show more Show less
