Hi I'm Julie

I'm from the midwest, I studied business in college, I'm married with 2 children, I work in Marketing & Sales, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love music, reading, dancing, and chocolate!

Why I am a Mormon

I love the Savior, Jesus Christ. I know that He lives, that He died for us, that He understands all pain, and that He can help us. The most important way He helps us is by forgiving us and helping us become clean through the merits and mercy of His infinite atoning sacrifice. As we repent and try and become more like Him every day, and as we complete sacred ordinances (like baptism), He helps us qualify for eternal life. Sometimes we forget that He can also help us now, even with common things in the normal course of our lives. Two of the greatest blessings I have in my life, which come only because of Him, are prayer and the gift of the Holy Ghost. By using these great gifts, I have had help in the normal course of living. I have had dozens of prayers answered in my life. Sometimes the answer has been "no", and sometimes I've had to wait years for an answer to come, but I know He has heard every single prayer I've offered. After I was baptized, I received the gift of the Holy Ghost from my father who holds the priesthood. The Holy Ghost has helped me to make decisions (both big and small), He's helped me discern truth from error, He's helped me figure out how to handle challenges at home and at work, He has comforted me in times of great need, and recently He helped protect me from a dangerous situation. As I have done my best to study and obey the teachings of Jesus Christ, I have come to know that certain things are true through the power of the Holy Ghost. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God and that he restored the true church to the earth. I know that The Book of Mormon is true. I know that Thomas S. Monson is a prophet of God today. I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is Jesus' church and that He leads the church through revelation to His leaders. I know that families can be together forever, in this life and in the world to come, as we complete temple ordinances (like marriage).

How I live my faith

Currently I lead the music in church each Sunday, and I also organize special musical numbers that are performed during our Sacrament Meetings. I'm also responsible for visiting two female members of the church each month to see how they're doing, to ask if they need help with anything, and to share a simple gospel message with them. Previously I have served in the church by teaching the nursery children and the young women, by playing the piano during the children's "Singing Time", by coordinating group trips to the temple, and by teaching Sunday School classes.
