Hi I'm Marie

I was born in Italy as a military child. I grew up in California. I am a homeschooling, home-birthing mother of 7. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy teaching my kids, working with my homeschooling group, and building our hobby farm. I like to sew, craft, and watercolor painting. I have 4 sons and 2 daughters, (#7- a surprise- on the way) they keep me really busy. I am a self taught person, spending my "free time" reading history, science math etc. one day maybe I'll get around to attending and graduating college.

Why I am a Mormon

I was lucky enough to have been born into the church, my parents on both sides family history goes back many generations of Mormons Including the handcarts pioneers. I have been taught not only the faith of the "early saints" but of my own family. one of my biggest faith building experiences comes from reading my great grandmothers journal. She was an amazing lady of great faith. As I read her words, telling of the truthfulness of the gospel, priesthood blessings she has received etc, I feel the holy spirit touching my soul, telling me that what she lived and believed was true, is true and always will be so. I also have many times felt the guiding hand of my Lord touching my life, to help me know which path to take. From whom to marry, to where we should build our life together. I feel the blessings of the Lord each day, as my children come into my room to give me a hug, with their bright smiles. I know that we will be a family forever, and that it the greatest blessing I have yet received.

How I live my faith

I live my faith each day, by reading form the Lords words, and teaching my children by word and deed how to follow His example. Spending time each day with my children, working along side them, and helping them to see God's hand in their lives. Each day I have success and failures, but I strive to improve in my faith and my parenting that my children may have the great blessings of Faith and love in their lives.
