Hi I'm Jessica

I grew up in England but now I live in Colorado, USA with my husband and two boys and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up with a dream...I always wanted to go to America and dance at a favorite college of mine, literally always, like, since I was 6 years old. I began to carry out that dream as I left England at the age of 18 to attend my chosen college and then my dream evolved dramatically. 8 years down the road I am married, am a mother to two energetic children, a dog owner, a home owner, a permanent resident of America and so much more. My life has played out so differently to how I imagined it to when I was a teenager but I think that is for the best. I always knew I wanted to be a stay at home mother but motherhood came quicker than I had planned. To help fuel my personal need to create motherhood is interwoven with teaching dance, taking photos and blogging; I find it therapeutic to document my little life with all it nuances, the good and the bad through these mediums. I spend my days with my two children. Some days are great and highly productive, other days I feel like I am walking on cheerios that have been scattered around my house by my little helpers ALL DAY LONG and others days I watch the clock tick till bedtime. Life is a journey right?

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family of Mormons. To be honest ever since I was young I have known that the Church Of Jesus Christ of latter-day saints was true. The principles and ordinances just make sense to me. I have found that abiding by these principles and ordinances I have experienced joy, comfort, peace and direction in my life. I am Mormon because living as a Mormon makes life easier and better in every way.

How I live my faith

My family was called to serve in a branch (a small congregation) not too far from where we live. It has been a wonderful experience to watch people learn about the gospel and have their lives change for the better because they have chosen God over the things of the world. My personal assignment in our branch at church is to lead the music, I do this while eyeballing my children so that they will not get into too much mischief. Needless to say I am thankful for all the help from others in my branch who help with my children. I love Visiting Teaching which is basically is a huge friendship chain. I was assigned two sisters who I make a special effort to visit with and develop a friendship with. We get to talk about life, faith, parenting, work, dreams, ambitions etc... I love to surround myself with people who help me want to better and I hope in return I help others want to be better.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Jessica
I you really want to know if what Mormons believe is true then you need to study it and pray about it and after you have done that you need to listen to the Holy Ghost. You will know its true. Remember there is a difference between not wanting to live the gospel and it being true. Often people know that it is true but they are not ready to make the needed changes in their life so that they can fully enjoy the blessing of the gospel if this is your case keep praying and listening to the missionaries and attending church God will help you achieve ANYTHING!
