Hi I'm Tracy Huntsman

I am a wife, mother and grandmother. I love reading, photography and scrapbooking, but most of all being with my family.

About Me

I feel passionate about scrapbooking because it tells a story. It reminds us of where we have been and the things that bond us together as a family unit and how we have touched the lives of other and others have touched our lives. That lead to the natural companion hobby of photography. I am not a professional but love the moments I capture. I grew up in Florida during the 60's when my dad went to work for the Space Industry. I was there during the Civil Rights movement and the "space race" It is amazing to look back and know that I was there during the time that so much history was made. I went to college in Idaho at what is now BYU-Idaho and there met the man that I eventually married. I when on to pursue a degree in Elementary Education and Speech Therapy. We have 4 children and 4 grandchildren after 35 years of marriage.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it gives me a solid foundation upon which to build my life, raise my family and it keeps me grounded in a ever changing world. It gives me the knowledge of who I am, a daughter of God, and what my purpose is here on this earth. In a world of ever shifting values, beliefs and standards, the Gospel of Jesus Christ, anchors me to the things of eternity and brings a peace that is not found any where else. I have know since I was very young that living the principles of the gospel builds faith and makes me happy. I know who I am, and that gives me courage to face the really hard things in life. and keeps me focused on what is most important.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by contributing where ever I can. Helping others when ever the opportunity arises. I try to be observant to other in need and step up and give where and when I am needed. Right now I am serving in my local Ward of the church, in the women's organization to organize monthly activities and service groups. I also help out a sub for classes when the teacher can't make it. I also check in on different women in our ward every month to make sure they are doing alright and bring them a short gospel centered message. I help the missionaries that are assigned to our Ward by going to meet with those they are teaching. In the past I have taught the elementary aged children in organized classes and also taught them as a group in the area of music. I love teaching the music! I have worked with the teenagers as well at different times. Where ever I am asked to serve I always try to give it my all and do my best!
