Hi I'm Jim

I am a mechanical engineer in HVAC. I compete in desert racing as a hobby. I am the first convert in my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was raised in a family that was very tightly knit, and we still keep close this day even though we are scattered across the United States. I am a father to four wonderful children, they enrich my life. I have been married for twenty years to my soul mate. I live in the Western United States and enjoy working on cars. I have a passion for three things, my family, my Church, and desert racing. Since I was a teenager I wanted to build and race old Volkswagen Beetles. My brother and I get our families together as often as we can and compete in races about twice a year.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in a tight knit family. The Mormon Church was the Family as their focus. The sense of love and duty as the Father in the home is rewarding as my children succeed, but can also weigh heavy as I do my best to teach and guide my children through some of the pitfalls of life. Raising my children in the Church of Jesus Christ helps to instill high moral values, a quest for higher education, and a life of service to others. The Plan of Salvation is real and I testify that it is true.

How I live my faith

Service in the Church of Jesus Christ can be very gratifying in shifting my focus from my own small problems and help others in ways that they can not do for themselves. As Jesus Christ is the ultimate example, I seek to model his behavior. Christlike love and service is how I live my Faith.
