Hi I'm Denny

I was born in Utah and grew up in Nevada. My wife and I raised 4 children in Colorado. I have been a lifelong Mormon.

About Me

My wife and I are the parents of 4 fantastic children and the grandparents of 3 (soon to be 4) wonderful grandchildren. As a family we enjoy being together and look forward to the occasions that allow those opportunities. As life, jobs and circumstances dictate, we are spread out in different states so family time is cherished. I have been involved with healthcare as the focus of my professional career. I have worked on the frontlines as a radiation therapist and expanded my responsibilities into leadership and administrative roles. The majority of my experience has been in Oncology. Many patients I have worked with have demonstrated hope and a desire to live life as fully as possible, "today". This has encouraged me to develop optimism in life. I have also been fortunate to have participated in and lead many customer satisfaction and quality improvement initiatives in several states and internationally. I enjoy at home projects and with encouragement from my wife, i have become proficient in landscaping yards, finishing basements and performing general handyman work. Our family has enjoyed the outdoors. Our garage is filled with well used camping gear, bicycles, winter sports and general sports equipment.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the "Mormon" church and have been able to enjoy it's many blessings throughout my life. I am fortunate to have a rich heritage of ancestors who were able to make sacrifices and lay a strong foundation to enable me to know of the restored gospel. The love of our Heavenly Father for his children has become very clear as a I have learned of him and his son, Jesus Christ. I have witnessed blessings from heaven in my own life and the lives of many others. It seems that as I have questions or problems in my life, the gospel has have given me a sense of direction, guidance and comfort. It is critically important for me to know that the Lord through his living prophet, speaks to his children today. As we heed that counsel we will be blessed and be better prepared for what the future holds. Eternal life and the promise that we have the ability to be together as a family after this life are key components of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. My knowledge of these truths and knowing that the Father and Jesus Christ know me personally and love me are the basis for me being a "Mormon".

How I live my faith

I live my faith by participating in worship, service and social activities. I accept church assignments as I am asked. Currently my wife and I are Cub Scout leaders in a church sponsored Cub Scout Pack. I attempt to be a good father, husband, neighbor, friend and employee by following the example of Jesus Christ and by living the tenets of my faith.
