Hi I'm Darrell

I grew up in a small town in western Nevada. I work as a purchasing agent in the electrical wholesale business. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My wife and I are the parents of 4 adult children. We have two infant gransons, as well. My hobbies include Geocaching. I started in 2005 and enjoy when the hobby leads me to new locations and discoveries. I am a novice fly fisherman. I really love to hike in the Rocky Mountains. I like to read and have read several works by Michener and Dickens, My favorite novel of all time though, is "The Hunchback of Notre Dame"

Why I am a Mormon

I became a member of the chuch at age 24. I was concerned about the purpose of life. I have found the gospel of Jesus Christ as administered through the church answers the profound yearnings within the depths of my soul. I am by no means perfect, but the gospel restores my soul and helps me to become more of the man that I aspire to be. I shutter to think of raising our children without the help of the values instilled by the gospel.

How I live my faith

I have had many opportunies to serve in the church. I have served as bishop, presiding over a chuch congregation of about 600 members. I have also been the scoutmaster for the boy scout troop chatered by our church congregation. I have earned my Woodbadge beads and am a member of the Order of the Arrow. All of our 3 sons are Eagle Scouts. One of our sons served a mission to Brazil.
