Hi I'm Jeanne

I am a wife and a mother of 4. I grew up as Mormon but now, I choose to be a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife of 8 1/2 years and we have been blessed with 3 sons and 1 daughter. I love being a mother even though there are days that I would trade it in. As a family we love to ride bikes, play baseball (or any other sport), go for walks or just be together and watch a movie. I personally enjoy home improvement projects that make an immediate change to the look of our home. I enjoy exercising outdoors with my kids. I enjoy playing the piano and have been teaching lessons for over 4 years now. I also provide daycare services and my home is quite often like the old woman who lived in a shoe-never a shortage of little ones running around.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up learning the principles of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I owe a great debt to my parents for teaching me these things as a child. I know now that my greater debt is to my Savior because now I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because I have a testimony of it's truthfulness. I've seen pain in the world, I've seen friends and family suffer, I myself have felt the darkness that satan uses to discourage us, but through it all, I've had the answer of how to find peace amidst the sludge. I thought in my youth that following the Savior meant that the awful trials of life would be taken away. Of course, years and experience have taught me the truth. Trials will not be removed but the Savior will give us the strength and hope to make it through them with our heads held high and our character strengthened. I love my Savior and my Heavenly Father for giving me the opportunity to know the truth. I am still learning every day but I have a perspective and an understanding of the ulimate reward that keeps me trying every day to follow the principles that the Savior has given us to help us find eternal peace.

How I live my faith

I am currently serve in the presidency of the womens organization of our local ward. I am also a visiting teacher to three wonderful sisters. I love serving in the church because it helps me look beyond myself and my "pity" parties and reach out to others who are really in need. Growing up in the church I learned the importance of serving when called upon. But again, because of experiences I've had I now try to serve simply because a need exists. I have found that there is no better feeling than serving someone in need and knowing that I have helped make their life and the load they bear just a little bit better. I have also been on the receiving end far more that I deserve and I am so grateful for others who have extend that relief to me.
