Hi I'm Geraldine(Gerry) Giles

I am a working mother of four, wife, sister, daughter and friend. I work hard but I play harder. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I was married at a young age in the temple. We started our family early. We now have an 18 yrs old, 15 yrs old, 13 yr old, and a 10 yr old. We are active in the church with the two boys in Seminary. We live on a lake. We love the water and being able to take our boat out for some wholesome recreational activities. We also love football. We watch our boys play for their high school in the fall and we watch the Huskers play ever chance we get. We work hard. I work, my husband has two jobs and both my boys work. We struggle right now with keeping the bills paid. We pay our tithing in faith and it all seems to work out. We have alot of conflict among siblings that we will be struggling with till they all move out. We have a senior in high school who will go on his mission as soon as he graduates. We are very happy and love being members of the church.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because my mom heard the missionaries and joined the church. I was able to attend church enough to know the basics of the Gospel but not till I graduated from high school did I really become active and learn the true meaning of being a memeber of the church. Just in time for me to prepare to meet my husband and get married. I love the church and the security it brings me in my life. I am greatful that I have a strong support system around me in my family and friends who believe the same things I do. The church give me hope to take each day and each challenge. I love Joseph Smith and his wife Emma and the history of the church. I grow every day in the gospel but still have a long ways to go.

How I live my faith

We attend church every Sunday. We have callings that we serve dilligently in. I have children in the youth programs and they attend on a regular basis. I have a daughter in Primary and she loves it. We are there when services is needed and have been served by many memebers of our ward and community also. We attend the temple regularly. We struggle to have Family Home Evening every week but we do pretty good with scripture study and family prayer.
