Hi I'm Dan

I grew up in Collinsville Connecticut, I'm a Red Sox fan, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My wife Stephanie and I met at BYU. She's from Utah and I'm from Connecticut. We have 4 beautiful children (two boys and two girls). I work for a fortune 500 company and have had the opportunity through my job to live in a lot of different places. Since we've been married, we've lived in Utah, Pennsylvania, Wyoming, New York, Florida, New Jersey, Costa Rica, Belgium and Colorado. Through work I've also been able to visit more than 70 different countries. I also served a mission for the LDS church in Bogota Colombia. As far as hobbies, I play the guitar. I like Neil Young, Jethro Tull, The Beatles, Santana, The Allman Brothers Band, Traffic, and others. I also love sports. I played junior college basketball for a team that ended up being ranked 9th in the nation. Even though I'm in my 40's now, I still like to play hoops every now then. I'm also an avid Boston Red Sox and Celtics fan.

Why I am a Mormon

I believe in Christ, I believe in his atonement, I believe that through Him I can overcome my weaknesses and become more like Him. I know that I am happiest and most at peace when I follow His commandments. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because it has Christ at the center of its doctrine. The entire narrative of the Book of Mormon is about Christ and how he visited the Americas. In Joseph Smith's First Vision, he saw God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ. We are taught to pray to our Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, even the name of the Church takes upon His name. I'm also a member because it has been confirmed to me through the Still Small Voice that this is God's true church here upon the earth.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith by keeping the commandments, being nice and helpful to those around me, being honest in my dealings with my fellow man, and being active in my church.
