Hi I'm Jonathan Bingham

I was born and raised in Seattle, Washington. Have a degree in Construction Manangement, own my own business and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married since 1999 to a wonderful wife and together we have had 4 wonderful children (2 girls, 2 boys). I have had the fortune of living and traveling across the United States, meeting many wonderful people and gaining many experiences that I hope can be used to benefit my family as well as others. My career in Construction Management has been great, but not without trials. I have been laid off 3 times in 8 years and finally decided to take my father's advice from my youth to "go to school, get good grades, then go into business for yourself." He has had his own business for as long as I can remember, and recently ventured out with my own business, completely different than my construction background. Going from employee to self-employed has been a great learning experience, and continues to be so. If it were not for my upbringing in the Gospel and the continued direction and blessings from the Lord, I don't know that I would have the success that I do, nor the ability to do better as I endeavor for.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, but as a teenager I came to a point where I could not rely on my parent's and teacher's testimonies alone any further. I gained a testimony of the truthfulness of this Church and its doctrine, the basic Gospel Principles, for myself, and have since been adding to that testimony as I live and learn each day of my life. I know that my Savior Jesus Christ lives and loves me. That he suffered the pains of my sins and of death for me and for all the World. I know that He and my Heavenly Father appeared to Joseph Smith, having selected him to be the one through whom the lost truths of the Gospel would be restored in these, the latter-days, the final dispensation of the World. I have read, and continue to read, the Book of Mormon and testify of its truthfulness. I also read and continue to read the Old and New Testament, as well as the Doctrine and Covenants, and The Pearl of Great Price. All of which the Lord has prepared for us to have and hold for an understanding of who we are, why we are here, and what lies ahead of us after this mortal life is over.

How I live my faith

I have served the community by participating in Search and Rescue and volunteering in many community events through the local Chamber of Commerce. I have served in my church by being a full-time missionary for 2 years in Japan, and since that time have held many roles of leadership. I currently teach the adult Gospel Doctrine class weekly to an audience of 30 to 50 attendees.
