Hi I'm Robert

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hello. My name is Robert. I have 25 more birthdays to celebrate before I reach 100 years old. My wife and I have five sons and each one of them have five sisters. I am a Mormon because the Mormons seem to be the only church on the planet, at this time, that is organized and lead by prophets, apostles, and a large group of men called seventy.

Why I am a Mormon

Why I am a Mormon I am a Mormon because I am a diligent student of the New Testament. Just before Jesus departed this earth after his mortal ministry he told his disciples that he must leave in order to send to them the Holy Spirit. He also told them that the Holy spirit would guide and direct all the affairs of his church, and that the gates of hell would not prevail against it. The Mormon church is led by apostles, prophets, The Seventy, presidents, bishops priest, teachers, deacons. All of these leaders receive revelation [Matthew 15:13-19] from the Holy Spirit to direct the affairs of the Lord’s kingdom on the earth today. [Galatians 1:11-12] The Apostle Paul was tutored by the Holy Spirit for three years before he began his ministry to the gentiles. The Great Apostasy A great apostasy was predicted in the bible. Without a prophet’s revelations from God, people fall into spiritual darkness Amos 8:11-12]. Satan was given power to make war with the saints, and to overcome them; and power was given to him over all kindreds, and tongues and nations [Revelations 17:7]. The Restoration of the Gospel Was Foretold Truth shall spring out of the ground [Psalms 85:10-11]. An angel shall restore the everlasting gospel to the earth [Revelations 14:6]. The time of refreshing has come [Acts 3:19-21]. Jesus Christ has appeared and called a Latter-day Prophet [Acts 6-12]. My Testimony To You The Prophet Joseph Smith was commissioned by Jesus Christ to bring forth the restored gospel of salvation in its fullness. Joseph Smith restored all the plain and precious truth that were lost during the long famine of hearing the word of the Lord. [Amos 3:7-8] Are these things true? If you really want to know, then you must ask God in humble and sincere prayer. By the power of the Holy Spirit you may know with assurance that these things are true. Read the Book of Mormon [See Moroni 10:3-5].

How I live my faith

I have been a Mormon for 37 years. Missionaries walked through my open gate in Jacksonville, Florida and spoke to me while I was sitting on my carport. They told me many things. But I remember most that they said, “The American Indians are blood brothers to the Jews.” They told me that fascinating story, and said, “After his resurrection, Jesus Christ had visited his other sheep [John 10:16] on the American continent.” I knew immediately that this was true; and I wanted to investigate. The missionaries said that there was a record of these events recorded in a book. I replied, “I sure would like to read that book.” They responded, “Here’s your book.” They presented me with a copy of the Book of Mormon, Another Testimony of Jesus Christ. I was in college at the time, I read well and I read fast; I finished reading that book in about three days. And, I remembered what a professor had said of the American Indians, “As an ethnic group, the American Indians favor the Jews more than any other group of people on the earth.” I came to understand that the American Indians migrated to the Americas in 600 BC. They are the descendants of Joseph who was sold by his brothers into slavery. Their story is recorded in the book of Genesis in the Old Testament of the bible. [Genesis 37-50] The Book of Mormon chronicles their sad story on the American continent, and I have come to know that this story is true. Robert
