Hi I'm Jake Gallup

I grew up on a Ranch in Canada. I play hockey. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I have been a Rancher all my life, I grew up on our family farm where me my 3 older brothers and my Mom and Dad (my dad also worked full time at a gas plant) ran about 200 head of cows. When my brothers grew up they moved into the city so I ended up having to work really hard on the ranch. After high school i received scholarships for engineering because of my grades, the sports I played (track and field, cross country, hockey, volleyball, and curling), my many extracurriclum activities, and my service I had done (a lot of the service and volunteer work was through the Church). After a year of engineering i turned down the rest of my scholarship so that I could serve as a Missionary for our Church. Now i am back at university studying engineering. although i do not have the help of school scholarships I know what i did changed my life and i know that Christ will continue to bless me for my choices to follow him

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? Thats a good question. I grew up in the church my whole life and I had seen how the gospel blesses families. But I didn't think knew it was true so I prayed and asked Heavenly Father if it was true. The answer that I recieved was not "ITS TRUE!!!!" but it was more like "what do you think? You already know of its truth". Since that day when I was 14 I have tried to become better and it has greatly blessed my life. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is TRUE through the blessing of prayer and the love of Jesus Christ. That is why I am a Mormon

How I live my faith

Right now I am currently serving as a missionary for the Mormons. But I do not live my faith through my White Shirt and Tie, I live my faith by example. I try to love all people and serve them in any way I can. I invite others to come unto Christ through Faith, Repentance, and Baptism.
