Hi I'm Leah

I am a Navy brat, outdoor enthusiast, wife & mother of wife and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an outdoor enthusiast (gardener and hiker), dental hygienist, a wife and mother of 5 children. I really enjoy learning new things especially anything associated with health, the earth and people. I love doing anything physical and challenging. I love dirt, water and mountains!

Why I am a Mormon

In all my experiences through life, living in various lands and learning of different cultures and religions I have yet to see a doctrine so complete, so perfect and so personal. I have been blessed to have had many opportunities to ask my Father in Heaven some pretty direct questions as to the validity and veracity of The Gospel of Jesus Christ as it has been restored through the Prophet, Joseph Smith. I believe and feel the truth of Joseph Smith's First Vision, in which he saw God the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ. All of the other documents and doctrines hinge on this young man's account. I know that the Church as it existed while Christ was one the earth exists today...restored through a Prophet of God. The Book of Mormon with it's miraculous discovery and translation and all other doctrines that have followed are testaments that God lives, loves us and speaks to prophets today as he did in ancient times. The peace, fulfillment and joy that come as a result of me living my religion are as priceless as having my own "First Vision"...that's why I am a Mormon!

How I live my faith

People are what this life is all about! We are each God's children and as such we have an incredible resonsibilty to help lift, serve, teach and love each other. I find my greatest satisfaction in life teaching others TRUTH (whether it is religion, financial fitness, physical or health concepts or parenting tricks). Truth is all around us and I enjoy sharing with others a few of the "truths" that make this life more enjoyable. I am currently enjoying teaching the children in our congregation (a.k.a - "ward"). The children understand and feel so much deeper than adults do...less baggage I assume! They are pure and simple and such a joy to be with. They know almost intinctively that they have a "Father in Heaven" and that as His children they have a royal birthright - a greatness within them! It just seems to makes sense that a loving Father would not send us to earth without preparing a "plan" for our eternal happiness and progression.
