Hi I'm Jason

I'm a father. I'm a husband. I'm a patent attorney. I'm a geek. I'm a builder of a charter schools. And I am a Mormon.

About Me

I studied Physics in college and worked at a couple high tech companies prior to going to law school. I now help companies turn their intellectual property into assets. I spend way too much time at work. When I'm not working I'm playing with my kids. I am a father of four who loves taking his kids on adventures in the mountains or just playing tickle torture.

Why I am a Mormon

While I grew up a Mormon, I've chosen to stay involved for one simple reason: happiness. I am happiest when I am living the gospel and serving others. Not that I'm perfect at that, but as I strive to follow the directions provided in the scriptures and by modern prophets I find life much more enjoyable and peaceful.

How I live my faith

I started a charter school in my community. There has been a lot of demand in our area for another school like this. It's been a lot of work, but worth it. The community has rallied around the school and it's program. It's been great serving families in this way. I also serve as a second counselor in the bishopric. My Sunday's are full of meetings and visits to the good people in our ward.

What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?

Grace through Christ is the only way we can be saved. No matter how hard we try we will always fall short of the example Jesus provided. But through Christ's grace we can find forgiveness of our shortcomings and sins. Like good Earthly parents that let their kids try and fail as part of learning, it's part of our Father in Heaven's plan that we fail and then rely on Christ to become like him. Without Christ we will constantly fall short. But with his grace we can become like him. Show more Show less
