Hi I'm Mary

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

i'm married living the life with 3 young boys. i'm proud to say i'm a wife and mother because that's all I ever wanted to be! I will admit that being a mother is not what I thought it would be...it is far more difficult and much more rewarding! I love family time which includes a lot of outdoor activities...camping, 4-wheeling, rafting, hiking, bug catching, tennis, watching the boys play soccer, golf, biking rides, and picnics at the park. We love to go to the beach for the best entertainment...sand and water..and nights around the fire. Family time is the BEST! I also LOVE one on one time with my hubby! Date nights and/or late night chats are a must!!!!!!!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because i can't deny what I have felt. these feelings started when i was a young girl. i was raised mormon so each sunday we attended church. i loved church. i loved the songs we would sing, the friends, my teachers, i loved what we learned about God and the purpose of life. I knew at a young age that I lived with God before this life. I learned that my family could be together forever!! I knew that God heard my prayers. I learned about and listened to a living prophet! I also learned about ancient prophets from the scriptures. I felt peaceful and happy when my family would pray together and read scriptures together. What i was being taught at home and church helped me to be happy and I felt loved. As a grew older I wanted to know for myself if the church was true! So I prayed to God knowing i would recieve an answer because that's what i was taught. I knelt in prayer and ASKED if the Church of Jesus Christ was true. The feeling I had while praying was familiar....i had felt it many times before at church and at home. I felt JOY, I felt LOVE and I felt GOOOD! I also had the feeling that I had known all along that YES this church was true!!! This feeling, the spirit of God, continues to lighten my life as I hear and learn truth.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by starting my day in prayer. I ask God to guide my actions. I asked him how I can meet the needs of his children. I try to do my best to invite the spirit by thinking good thoughts, by spending my time wisely, by thinking of others and by reading the scriptures. I always fall short....but i'm trying. I live my faith by helping others to feel God's love. I do this by visiting with families and women who are new to the area or who need a friend. I love to make dinners, watch kiddos or even clean bathrooms. I have seen the power of helping others and I know that is one small way I can help others feel God's love. I live my faith by teaching others what i know. I especially love teaching children!! I feel like I am more at their level so i love to engage them in learning about the gospel. They have pure hearts and i feel their goodness easily. They inspire me to be better as i watch them make good choices because they want to do whats right.
