Hi I'm Chris

I'm a serial entrepreneur, a runner, a father and a husband ... And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Phoenix Arizona, graduated high school, received a Bachelor of science in Education at the University of Arizona. I have worked as a Sign Language Interpreter (college level), graphic artist in the corporate world, an IT specialist, a Computer Security Specialist, and Senior Systems Engineer for a Fortune-500 company. I am a serial entrepreneur and own several businesses. I am an Internet Marketing specialist and love technology and how it influences society for good. I love to volunteer in my community and have been actively involved in the Boy Scouts of America program for many years. My two oldest boys are now eagle scouts and are active in the community. I am a father of three sons ranging from 12-18 years old. I have been married for 21 years now and love my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I haven't always been a practicing Mormon. During my late High School and early college years I was just not interested in religion in general, I was focused on school and my future career. However, this changed a few years later when I met a sweet young girl in college (who wasn't Mormon). As our dating became more serious, I realized that God was a big part of her life. She didn't attend any church, but often read the bible and enjoyed talking with others about gospel topics, often gaining great strength from the stories she read. It wasn't long before I realized that I too had a spiritual longing and a desire to find more about the three basic questions in life. 1. Where did I come from? 2. Why am I here? 3. Where do I go when I die? In pursuit of these questions is where we both became converted together. Having the answers to these questions makes all the difference in my life. Now I'm a Mormon because it challenges me to live a better life, be a better father and husband, and gives me opportunities to serve others. I value the time tested teachings of the Gospel in this world of change, a world of ever-changing values, and destructive forces that are aimed at our children. This church teaches me how to provide a safe environment for my children to grow up in to have the best opportunities available free of addictions and traps that the world has out for them. Simply speaking, the focus is on keeping the family together, forever, which is my most valued possession. That's why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my religion by trying to be a good father and husband, being honest in my dealings with my fellow man, following the laws of the land, follow the teachings of Christ, and doing a little better each day. The gospel of Jesus Christ gives me peace when I am doing what I should. Even with Earthquakes, tsunamis, severe economic pressures, and the world's ever changing values, it is wonderful to have scriptures that provide truth, as well as living prophets and apostles to address the specific challenges of our day. Despite the terrible things that happen in the world, I know we are all children of a loving Heavenly Father who knows us individually, feels our pain and worries, and blesses us individually as we go through the challenges of life. I love my Heavenly Father, and Jesus Christ his son, and I'm a Mormon.
