Hi I'm Brian

I'm a husband, I'm a father, I'm an actuary, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married to a wonderful woman and have one beautiful daughter and love spending time with them. I have always enjoyed math which lead me to my field of work as a pension actuary for a human capital consulting firm. In my spare time I enjoy playing basketball, reading, or watching sports and movies.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in a Mormon family by parents who taught my siblings and I the importance of following Jesus Christ and keeping His commandments. I was taught to pray, read the scriptures, and to love and serve those around me. Even from that young age I could feel that the things I was being taught were important and were the things that would lead to a happy and full life. As I have grown, I have found that those same things I was taught as a child continue to be the keys to happiness in my life now. I know that as I read the teachings of Jesus Christ and His chosen prophets in the scriptures and apply the things I read, my life is happier and I am blessed by a loving Heavenly Father. I have confidence that when I pray, God hears me and answers. As I serve and bless those around me I gain greater appreciation for the great blessings God has given me and for the mission of Jesus Christ as our Savior. I have come to know for myself through experience and through the feelings given to me by the Holy Ghost that the things I have been taught are true and correct and that they will lead to happiness for me and my family.

How I live my faith

My faith is one of the key aspects of who I am. I try to live my faith in everything I do: the things I say, the things I read and watch, and the way I conduct myself. As I strive to live a life that is in line with Heavenly Father's plan for us, I know that I am blessed. I am far from perfect but know that I am blessed for the efforts that I make. One of the best ways I live my faith is by serving those around me. This includes my family, my friends, and strangers. I try to love and serve my family and try to place Jesus Christ at the center of our family. I also try and reach out to friends and neighbors who need a hand or could use some support. Additionally, in the Mormon church we have many opportunities to serve as all leaders and teachers are volunteers. I love to act in my assignment in the church, whatever it may be, to be able to interact and serve others in our congregation and area.
