Hi I'm Paul

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I come from a family of 9 kids. I am the youngest of seven boys. I also have two younger sisters. I am originally from Las Vegas, Nevada. I lived there most of my life. I have been married for almost 10 years and have two daughters. We moved to Colorado about 5 years ago. We felt as though Las Vegas wasn't the best place to raise a family. We have loved living in Colorado ever since. I have been in banking for the last 11 1/2 years.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church and grew up listening to the testimonies of those around me. I knew that eventually I would need to form a testimony of my own. I remember one activity that I went on with the other youth in my stake. We hiked up to the top of a mountain for an overnight campout. There were some activities planned the following day. One of these activities involved going off on your own among some trees and praying about various things. It reminded me of Joseph Smith and his going out to the grove of trees to ask what church he should join. It was then that he was visited by God the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ. I didn't have the same experience, but I remember the holy ghost testifying to me that Joseph Smith did have that visitation and that he was called as a prophet of God to restore the church that Jesus had established on the earth. That was a very impactful experience for me.

How I live my faith

I am currently a Sunday School teacher. I share this responsibility with a few others in our ward. We teach the gospel principles class which goes over some of the basic foundations of the gospel of Jesus Christ. We have a variety of people that come to the class. They range from people who are investigating the church to members who have been in the church their whole lives.
