Hi I'm Louise

I live in Colorado, I love to travel and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife, friend, daughter, sister, aunt, mother and grandmother. As a child I had the great privilege of being raised by loving parents in a large family. My parents taught me to work hard, to be happy with what I had, to love God and Christ, to love family and to love the outdoors. My father's work took us all over the western states. I have learned to embrace change and to love travel. I love to read. My favorite books are those that lift me up and inspire me to be a better person. I love to go camping. My husband and I go as often as time permits. We love living in Colorado and the beauty of the mountains and nature. I love my family. Our children and grandchildren are a great joy to us. We love to visit them whenever we can. I love to research and read about my ancestors. They are such an inspiration to me. I love my home and have tried to make it a place of love and acceptance.

Why I am a Mormon

My heritage includes pioneers who came across the great plains under difficult circumstances and persevered because of their great faith in Jesus Christ. They survived these great trials and remain an inspiration to me and my family. I was thus brought up in the same faith they embraced and have gained my own testimony through study and prayer. I love the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I love it's simplicity and the great love, of our Heavenly Father and his son Jesus Christ, manifested through it. I am grateful that the priesthood power of a loving Father is in my home and that we can be an eternal family through that same power. I love the Book of Mormon, the spirit of this book in indescribable. The love of our Savoir is so strong as I read its pages. The people of this book left a message for us to help us understand what is needful to have peace in our lives. Our living prophet is truly a man of God. His messages to us in this time of confusion are so timely and I know that he speaks for God. I am a Mormon because I know that the principles taught in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are true. It is the true church of Christ on the earth, restored in our day that all mankind might be prepared for the second coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith everyday. I try to be what my Father in Heaven would want me to be. I serve others and try to be kind, honest, grateful and patient with everyone. When a young adult, I served as a missionary in Spain. It was a life changing experience as I learned to love a new people and culture. My testimony of Jesus Christ and his love for all men was deeply strengthened. I continue to love service in the church. I have had the great privilege of serving the children, youth and women of our ward. My husband and I plan on serving as missionaries again when he retires.
