Hi I'm Perrin

I'm a military brat and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I like to do a lot of things. I was a three sport athlete in high school and I'm extremely competitive. I am the oldest of six children and love my life. I was born and raised in the church and in the military. The funny thing about being in the military is you don't really know where "home" is. I've often wondered where I'm from. And to this day I can't really answer that question in the physical sense. The one constant thing in my life is my family and the church, which is like my second family. Everywhere I've been I've felt welcomed.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I had two great parents who taught me right from wrong and took me to church on Sundays where I learned to develop a personal relationship with my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. When I was 15, I wondered if the church was actually true and the years of development helped me understand that if I wanted to know, I had to ask God, the source of truth. No other source good give me and answer so convincing. That night as I prayed openly to him to ask if The Book of Mormon is true, I felt the Holy Ghost so strongly. It is a feeling comparable to none. It was so distinct I'll never forget it. It's a part of me now. I know the Book of Mormon is true and it testifies of Jesus Christ. That Joseph Smith was God's messenger to translate it and restore God's church with all of the pure teachings of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by actively serving others. I'm about to start college where I'll receive a calling, which I plan on fulfilling to the best of my ability. I read my scriptures everyday if not almost everyday and don't miss a night where I pray to my Heavenly Father and thank him for all the blessings he has given me.
