Hi I'm Brit

I'm a family man. I'm a hugger and a smiley face. I'm a patent attorney. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a patent attorney with a background in mechanical engineering. I love being a dad and playing with my kids. Spending time with them is the highlight of my day. I enjoy being active and playing sports. Our (my wife and I) favorite thing to do is to play boardgames with friends. If its just the two of us, I usually just ask her which game she'd like to beat me at this time, because she usually wins.

Why I am a Mormon

The gospel gives me direction and guidelines to live by that keep me improving to become a better person. There is nothing in this gospel that would lead me to do something that would harm others or myself. Rather, the gospel only teaches that which is good for myself and those around me, to lift us up and bring us joy. The gospel gives me hope when life gets hard. It helps me know what to teach my children when they ask questions about God and Jesus, where we were before they were born, why we are here on earth, and where we go when we die. The gospel brings me and my family a joy and happiness that I know would be missing otherwise. I have felt in my heart the whisperings of the Holy Spirit confirming the truthfulness of the gospel and I cannot turn my back on something so profound and sure. The gospel is not just a belief for me, but it is way of life filled only with things that bring peace.

How I live my faith

I try to be kind, gentle, and to understand people from their point of view. I try to be an all-around good person, and lend a hand or a smile where I can. I try to respect others for being people, no matter their differences or life choices. I think this is the way God would have us treat each other. I have always been a "happy" person all throughout my life and I believe it is because of my faith and the hope and strength it gives me each day.
