Hi I'm Travis

I grew up in Colorado. I served a mission in Oregon. I went to college at BYU. I recently got married. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Colorado. I come from a family of four, and I'm the oldest child. When I was 19, I began my missionary service for the church in Oregon. Serving a mission was a wonderful and life-changing experience. After my mission I attended BYU and earned a degree in Accounting. While in the business school at BYU, I met my wonderful wife, who was also an accounting student. We recently were married in the Salt Lake Temple. We now live in Colorado, and we both work for an accounting firm.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a Mormon home, and I've been going to church ever since I was a baby. Church has always been a part of my life. I have learned over the years that being a part of the Church has brought me great joy and happiness. When I attend church, participate in church volunteer activities and assignments, read the scriptures, and help others, I feel closer to my Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ. I believe that the teachings of Jesus Christ can bless everyone. Each person on Earth is one of Heavenly Father's children, and I know that He loves us and wants us to be happy. I know that God also has a plan for us so that we can return to live with Him. God's plan is centered on His son, Jesus Christ. With Christ's help, we can live our life in accordance with Heavenly Father's plan. By living the Gospel of Jesus Christ, all can receive eternal happiness. Being a member of the Church helps me to know what Heavenly Father wants me to become. I know that others can have the same knowledge and peace that I have.

How I live my faith

At church, I am a teacher in the Church's men's organization. Once a month, I prepare a lesson on a Gospel subject, and share it with the others. I also make visits to the homes of members of the congregation, which is fun way to get know people and bring Gospel messages into their homes. I enjoy the opportunity to help the Church.
