Hi I'm Paul

I'm a Father of 3. A husband of 11 years. A School Psychologist and a goof ball. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My wife and kids are the love's of my life. They are what gives me meaning and purpose in this world. My awesome wife of 11 years is my rock and after all this time I am still madly in love with her! I'm a School Psychologist by trade and am passionate about working with children who have disabilities. I teach online classes about 'The Family: A Proclamation to the World' and have dreams of someday owning a motorcycle. My kids refer to me as The Tickle Monster, Captain Awesome, and just plain ol' Dad (my favorite). Smiling, laughing, and spending time at the beach are my favorite past times. I never thought I would be bald, but here I am!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because it brings me and my family closer to our Savior, Jesus Christ. He is the reason life has a purpose and that I and my family have a future together after this life. It is He who brings peace into my heart and home. And it is He who I want to be like. For me, being a Mormon is striving to be a disciple of Jesus.

How I live my faith

My faith manifests its self in my thoughts and actions. Striving to be a disciple of Jesus Christ means striving to think like He thinks and act as He would act. To do this I study His words regularly as found in the Holy Scriptures, I do my best to love and serve others, and I try to forgive others of their trespasses. No matter how hard I try though, I know that on my own I will fall short of eternal life and must trust and rely on the saving grace of "Him crucified" to return to live with Him some day. My Saviors perfect example and His willingness to love and forgive me in spite of my flaws is why I love Him and why his plan for us is so beautiful.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Paul
We do not worship Joseph Smith. We revere him as a Prophet of God who, much like Moses and Noah did in their time, revealed truths about God's plan for us. We worship God the Father and his only begotten Son, Jesus Christ. The name of our Church is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and it is Jesus Christ who is at the center of our faith and teachings. Show more Show less
