Hi I'm Michael

I'm an out door enthusiast, an endodontist, a husband and a father and, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

When I'm not working as an endodontist, I enjoy getting outdoors. Mountain biking, gardening, caving, hiking, fly fishing, scuba diving, skiing and camping are some of the outdoor activities I take pleasure in. I'm married to the woman of my dreams and together we have three wonderful kids with a forth shortly to come. I live out in the country where I love watching my kids play with our chickens, and seeing much of the beautiful scenery and wildlife that was created for us. As an endodontist, at work, I treat people with dental pain. I mainly focus on doing root canals and different types of surgeries. I enjoy helping people in a time of great need, to relieve them of their pain and suffering.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the the church with a couple generations before me having converted to the gospel and sharing it with my parents and grandparents before me. But in the life of any person, I had to obtain a truthfulness of the gospel for myself. I wouldn't say it came in one momentous experience, but in small experiences that shaped my gospel beliefs. I remember feeling great moments of piece and love as I read the Book of Mormon and lived gospel standards. As I've prayed to my Heavenly Father about different aspects of the church, I've received answers many times that The Church of Jesus Christ is true. I love the different teachings of the gospel, especially that of eternal families. It brings great comfort to me to know I can be reunited with my family after this earthly life for eternity.

How I live my faith

Living my faith is trying to emulate the best I can what my savior, Jesus Christ, did for us. He spent his life in service. I try looking for ways throughout my day to help lift others and lighten their burdens. Most of my service seems to be spent in my own family where I try to teach my kids to be kind to others, honest, and loving. I love watching them grow in the gospel as we read the scriptures and pray together. My calling in the church is that of Sunday School President. I help to organize Sunday School to make sure we have teachers that are prepared with lessons each week and that each member is in an atmosphere to feel the Spirit of Christ each week as they come to church.
