Hi I'm Michael

I grew up in Mesa ,Az , Father of 3, I am a small business owner, & I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Father of 3 wonderful children, and have been married to my wonderful wife for nearly 20 years. I have taken the opportunity to gain a Bachelors Degree in Construction Management. Most of which was done at night after a full day of work. As a result of the current economic climate my career with a large corporate home builder came to an end and have had to start my own business to make my way. I honestly believe that the time going to school as well as working full time to support my family has taught me that even during these tough times, we can make it with faith, dedication, as well as determination. I enjoy spending time with my family and going riding on four wheelers etc. as well as camping, swimming, remodeling our home. I also love to see new places and try new things, especially food.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the Church all of my life. My parents were both converts who were seeking for "something". My Father met a fellow coworker while working in the Forest Service as a "hot shot" putting out fires in southern California in the 1960's and thought there was something different about this young man, he was able to become friends with Ron and soon was invited to attend Church with him. Through the course of events my Father was baptized a member of the church and subsequently met my mother at a church activity. I think it is truly amazing how the example of one person so many years ago has affected my life in so many positive ways. Even though I was born into the Gospel, I have had to gain my own testimony of its truthfulness. The Gospel of Jesus Christ has been such a blessing in my life. It sometimes scares me to think about some of the choices I would have made as a youth without the council of leaders and teachings of Christ in my life. Even during a point in my later teenage years as I fell into inactivity, I knew when I was around friends who were trying to promote "poor" choices what my response would be. And the answer was "no", I knew better. There again through the good example of other friends who invited me to attend church with them helped me return to activity and serve a full-time mission. What a true, inspired, blessing is a mission to a young man. As a missionary you are out teaching others about the gospel, but you are also learning how to be a man of God, preparing to be a Leader in your Family as well as church.

How I live my faith

I try to be a good example to those around me in what I do and say. I also try to make sure that I fulfill my church callings to help bless the lives of others around me. Whether in my church calling or as a Home teacher, the priesthood is to serve others, lighten their load and lift up, not to dominate or control others by force or penalty.
