Hi I'm Phil
I grew up in Brisbane. I started an Accounting Practice in Annerley. I'm a Mormon.
I have a wife, 4 children, 3.3 Grand Children, I'm an Accountant, and hobbies include building houses, windsurfing, hunting, motorbikes and building computers. My parents home was inundated in the flood of 1974 and my son's home in 2011. I do some work for the accounting profession throughout Australia. I spent two years in Alaska and Canada in the 1960's as a young missionary. I have had input to legislative changes regarding audit functions of not for profit associations. I was involved in early drafting of Accounting Report formats for Large Corporations which are still in use today. My wife age 55 recently completed her Masters degree in education. I'm a Mormon.
Why I am a Mormon
I am 3rd generation LDS. Church has been a Lighthouse of guidance on how to live life. Scriptures are a continuous help to life's many questions along the journey. I began with the faith of my parents and over time developed my own belief in the Church which continues to grow.
How I live my faith
I spend time with young boys age 12 to 14. We help them organize activities for themselves. Service projects such as yard maintenance for the elderly, Camping skills, building projects, Public speaking. The boys have leadership positions that help them survive adult life as they provide for their families. They are encouraged to seek education as much as possible and they have friendships with the boys in their groups.
