Hi I'm Scott

I grew up in Southern California. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father, a grandfather and currently working as a government civil servant in Japan. Music has brought new dimensions to my life and speaks to the heart of our shared experience across cultures.

Why I am a Mormon

Since my youth growing up in Southern California I have tried to keep an open heart and an open mind to recognize, test and hold elements of truth that contribute to meaning, purpose and wonderful on-going personal discovery and adventure in my life. I have found that the Gospel of Jesus Christ has brought to my heart and mind a greater quality of love and joy than I had before. These teachings expand the hope and understanding in my heart of personal worth and dignity; and applying the principles and ordinances of the Gospel of Jesus Christ as restored in its fullness in our time, brings a lasting personal peace and satisfaction to my life.

How I live my faith

True and living faith is an on-going process of development. Consistently applying what I believe, and what I have experienced and come to know more firmly in a gospel-centered perspective to positively guide my thoughts and actions toward others. This process is also patient, and recognizes that each of us are in a process (and different stage) of development - and that by sincere prayer, study, obedience to what I know to be true, service, love and respect given to others I believe that my faith can further develop.
