Hi I'm Heather

I'm a mother of three boys. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Boise, Idaho and learned to love the outdoors from a very early age. I love to hike, camp, fish, snow ski and water ski. I went to college at BYU Idaho (Ricks) and met my husband there. We were married in the Salt Lake Temple. We live in Arizona now and have three young boys. We love to travel and have been many places, from West Coast to East Coast. From New York to Paris to Rome and right back home again. When I'm not chasing after my three boys, I enjoy exercising, reading and photography. I also enjoy spending time in my kids' classrooms at school, attending their sporting events, going on date nights with my husband, and catching up with friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I was adopted. My birth mother was not a Mormon, but had a good feeling about using LDS Social Services as the adoption agency to use when she made the decision to give me up to another home. I was adopted by two loving parents who were Mormon. They raised me in the Mormon faith and I always felt that I was exactly in the place that I was meant to be. I have enjoyed all of my experiences in the Church and have felt the Holy Ghost many times as I have prayed, read scripture, and participated in my church in various ways. I love knowing that I can be with my family forever. I am grateful to know that the Lord has blessed us with a Living Prophet to help guide and protect us and our family in these modern days.

How I live my faith

I volunteer many hours every week to helping the children in our church (in our ward) and our community. I help teach them songs that tell them that they are children of God and that they are loved. I help teach lessons about Jesus Christ, about the Bible and the Book of Mormon and about ancient and modern day prophets. I help teach children how we can live our lives in a way that brings up happiness and that show our Heavenly Father that we love Him and want to live with him in Heaven again someday. I help with the cub scouts in our community. I help organize events and activities for them and help present them with their awards as they earn them. I also participate in many service activities in our church and community. I help make meals for families in need. I try to help other mothers with their children if a need arises for them to be away from home.
