Hi I'm Brenna

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of 3 young children. I get to spend my days playing with them, teaching them, watching them grow. We go to soccer games and practices, baseball games and practices, play at the park, play in the sprinklers, and do homework. I love running, camping hiking, biking, exercising, doing crafts, and cooking. I have moved a lot in my life and love that wherever we have lived we are able to attend church.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because it makes me happy. I was raised in the church, yet as an adult I choose to attend church and to bring my children to church. I have prayed to know if there is Heavenly Father who knows and loves me, I have prayed to know if Jesus Christ came to this earth and died for us, I have prayed to know if this is the true church, I have prayed to know if the Book of Mormon is true, I have prayed to know if President Thomas S Monson is a true and living prophet, I have prayed to know if I can be forgiven for my sins. Each time I pray and ask for answers the spirit confirms to me that these things are true. I love that when I am living the gospel and doing my best to follow Christ's footsteps I am truly happy, I have peace in my life, and I have an eternal perspective.

How I live my faith

I do my best to read scriptures and pray daily. We also try to read scriptures and pray together as a family daily. I attempt to be Christ like in all my doings, serving those around me and uplifting them the best I can. Once each week, on Monday nights, we gather as a family and sing songs, play games, and have a lesson. We use that time to teach our children the gospel, teach them values we want them to live by, teach them the words of the prophets and the commandments we have received. On Sundays I teach the 12 and 13 year old Sunday School class. We learn of past and present prophets, their life experiences, and things they have taught. We discuss how we can learn from them and be better people because of the example they have been and the things they have taught us.
