Hi I'm Ryan

I served an honorable 2yr mission in Mozambique. I love to fly real & R/C airplanes alike. I love being outside. AND I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am currently 21 years old, and I love flying airplanes. I grew up mostly in the midwest though I did move frequently in my childhood which gave me the priceless gift of being able to make friends quickly. I am an outdoors enthusiast, you can find me canoeing biking, hiking, or sleeping outside, but rarely inside during the wonderful Kanas summers. I love the 4 distinct seasons, Fall to Winter have to be my favorite just because of the atmosphere and the attitudes of people, we tend to be nicer to each other. BUT make it known, I hate the cold! I love to build rockets, and flying models, on the cold winter days. I love to learn, meaning I love school. One of the biggest accomplishments in my life was my honorable full time mission I served for 2 years in Mozambique Africa! I learned who I was, and who I can be! I realized that people have a larger potential for growth than they expect, and literally our boundaries for knowledge are limitless. I learned that money is not what makes you happy, its a daily choice in your life to be grateful for what a loving Heavenly Father has given you, or just take it for granted one more day. The Atonement of Jesus Christ is something so unimaginable that you can believe its true your whole life without ever truly knowing. But seeing its effects in your own or other peoples lives is the most amazing thing I have ever witnessed. It is a true power, we desperately need. My life motto is to "Not be content with mediocrity. Seek to excel"

Why I am a Mormon

Because it is the true church, there is no plainer way to say it! My true conversion to His church, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was on my mission. When I truly sought to know. The feelings I felt are indescribable. The amount of "light" that immediately brightened my life was so intense that I could not deny that it was personal revelation coming directly to me saying this is the true church of God and Jesus Christ. Yes, other churches have some truth, other churches are fantastic and good that they worship a celestial being. Its good that they acknowledge a God, and Jesus Christ, but none of them have a true living prophet, the Book of Mormon, Eternal Marriage and the Priesthood, and other necessary things to have a plentitude of the everlasting gospel of Christ. I love this church, I know its true, I know there is a true and living prophet on this earth today. I know, because I have had it made known to me by the wonderful constant companion the Holy Ghost, and other undeniable events in my life. God lives. God loves us and Gods son is the one and only Savior and Redeemer of the world. Our advocate, our Friend. He steps in when everyone else steps out. We need Him more than we really realize.

How I live my faith

I do all I can to show I am a true follower of Jesus Christ. Being a friend to someone who has been outcasted or marked "strange." I live my faith by reading the scriptures as often as possible, my goal is a daily 10 minutes, which I am doing well on keeping. I try keeping an accurate up to date journal. I show the love and compassion Jesus would show to me, to those around me. I was recently called as the ward mission leader so I am privileged to continue missionary work! I pray daily and involve God in my daily decisions.
