Hi I'm Todd Glazier

I'm married, a father of two, and love my family. I own a car repair shop and also build and drive race cars. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I'm married, a father of three, and love my family. Im 32 years old, I own a car repair shop and also build and drive race cars, surf, hunt, fish, scuba dive, snowboard, mountain bike, golf, and generally love the outdoors. Most of all I love spending time with my family. When I was 19 I served a Spanish speaking mission in Connecticut and Rhode Island where I learned a lot about myself and the gospel and set the stage for the rest of my life. I met my wife three weeks after my mission and we got married 9 months later at the age of 22. I woked as a mechanic while my wife went through dental hygiene school and a few years later opened my own shop. It is a lot of work but living the gospel keeps priorities in perspective and help to keep my life in balance. I have come to learn that I am most happy when working to achieve my potential.

Why I am a Mormon

I was blessed to have been born and raised in the church which greatly influenced my choices for good as I grew up. Even though I believed and lived Mormon doctrine, I new i needed a testimony to solidify my foundation. As a teenager I took the opportunity to read the book of Mormon straight through to find out for sure If God would confirm its truthfulness. I read it in three weeks and was sad when I got to the end because It captured my attention and filled my soul. I followed the promise given in the last chapter (Moroni 10:3-5) and prayed to ask heavenly father if it was true. As promised, by the power of the Holy Ghost, I knew it was true, just as i did from the first chapter because the Holy Ghost was present throughout the reading. You can know if anything is true by the power of the Holy Ghost through feelings of love, joy, peace, etc. (Galations 5:22-23) The Book of Mormon really helps me to understand and apply the teachings of Jesus Christ in my life. It is a pure witness of his life and doctrine and that he lives on today speaking to prophets as he did in times of old. We believe in the bible and study its contents along with the Book Of Mormon and other modern revelation that we have as our scriptures as well. By living the precepts and commandments provided in these sacred pages I have been blessed beyond measure and can testify that they are true.

How I live my faith

Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints are known to be very devout followers of our doctrine and commandments. I believe this is due to the high level sacrifice that the God requires of us through not only the ten commandments, but the commandments issued through modern day prophets for our day as well. I have put these commandments to the test and the I have been nothing but blessed for my obedience. Keeping these commandments has only brought me joy so they are easy for me to follow. They in no way inhibit my agency but allow me the freedom to partake of the love and joy that our Father in heaven wants for us and not be enslaved by the powers of the world that can ruin our physical lives and tarnish our souls. In our faith there is no payed clergy but all positions are called upon through power and authority from God. I have been blessed to have been able to serve in several different capacities in the church from a nursery leader, to Sunday school teacher, to Sunday school president. All these callings have been a testimony that my Heavenly Father knows and loves me because they have been precisely what I needed in each instance of my life for my own growth and progress as well as for those whom I was able to serve. In my line of work in the performance automotive industry there is a lot of foul language and behavior that has brought a negative light to its reputation. I do my best to be an example of righteousness in the workplace and everywhere else I may stand by living the gospel we profess and not falling into the worldly enticements, activities, and habits that I know are not in line with the life I know Heavenly Father would have me lead. This gives me power over evil and the ability to maintain a clear mind and bright spirit among the dark fog of worldliness that is all around us and lead my family to eternal life.
