Hi I'm Stephanie

I've lived in 5 different states and 22 different houses. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been a Mormon all my life. I like to sing and to play the piano. Learning music at a young age was very helpful in school. I was always the favorite student of the Music Teacher.:) I am married and have one child. We were married 10 years and stuggled to have children. Just when we had given in to the fact that we would not be parents on this Earth, the chance to adopt a baby was thrown in front of us. We knew it was the right thing to do. We adopted the precious baby girl and she is 10 years old now. We own a small retail shop. I run it. Being your own boss is great but it comes with many worries, too. Hiring good people and scheduling are the hardest things. As we seem to have high school and college aged employees, I do my best the let them enjoy their extra cirricular activities while still maintaining our business needs.

Why I am a Mormon

I used to think that I was a Mormon because I grew up that way, But as I've gotten older I realize that I have chosen to be Mormon for myself. I love the standards and ideals that I was taught and now that I'm a parent, I'm glad to know that my daughter will leard that same standards and ideals that I did. I learned that Jesus took upon Himself all of our sins and no matter what faults I may have, I can be forgiven. It's so comforting to know that I have a Heavenly Father and an older brother who love me no matter what. They are always there to see that I'm taken care of. I feel Heanenly Father's spirit in my home and I love knowing that He is always there to lend a listening ear. With God, nothing is impossible - but you must reach and take His hand!

How I live my faith

I encounter many people every day. I try to be honest in all my dealings. If my company has wronged a person, I try to make it right and then spread the good to all those who may be in need of it. I am constantly encouraged by the amazement of individuals who can't believe I have gone the extra mile for them. I have learned, by serving others all my life, that a little smile can go a long way. And that doing something for others, especially if it is unexpected, will help me feel good, too. At church is is my responsibility to pick and lead the music that the congregation. I enjoy helping others develop their musical talents. If people don't feel talented, that's OK. I enjoy giving them the opportunity to join with others in expressing praise through music.
