Hi I'm Charles

I grew up in Eagar, Arizona, served a mission in the Montana-Wyoming Mission. I am a contractor in Gilbert, AZ. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Arizona. I like to hunt, fish, and play many sports. I have coached many youth teams, especially, soccor and basketball. I am a father of three sons and a grandfather of 10. I like to read and learn as much as possible.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised a Mormon and my family on my father's and mother's side go back to the beginning days of the church. I, however, did not always live the way I was raised. After graduating from high school in a predominately LDS community, I went away to school and was not actively involved in the church for two years. I lived a lifestyle that went against everything I was taught. After a period of time I realized something very important was missing in my life. That is the spirit of the Lord. I missed that good feeling that I had when I attended church, and eventually through the influence of good friends started attending the activities that were designed for student age people. As I progressed, I had a desire to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. During this time my testinony grew and my mission solidified my testimony. I had the opportunity to learn of the Savior's atonement and how it applied to me, and I loved sharing that with others. As time has moved on, it has become obvious to me that the gospel of Jesus Christ means everything to me, and a testimony is so valuable because it helps ground a person, even through difficult times. No especially through difficult times.

How I live my faith

I serve at the present time as a Young Single Adult bishop, but have served for a number of years as an ordinace worker in one of our temples. I have also served as a sunday school teacher, a scout master, and a cubmaster in the Boy Scouts of America organization. I am currently preparing for the First Things First community outreach designed to bring different faith based organizations together to identify how we as a community can help families better prepare their children for school and life. This is a workshop where different church and community leaders express ideas and solicite input from the community at large. It is designed to help families help their children, and identify how the faith based organizations can strengthen the family.
